Summer 2008 Has Begun!!

And we spent the first weekend of summer on our first camping trip in our camper. It went really well. We got there and set up pretty quickly and enjoyed the weather and each other's company--well, maybe not that of the dog. But that is another topic altogether! The week previous we had spent each night at our church participating in VBS--Power Lab. It was a fun time. The girls both loved the event, however were a little reluctant to get up each morning since they had been going to bed over an hour past their normal bedtime. The weekend before VBS, was the dance recital. Both of them were so adorable up there performing on the stage.

Now we are involved in swimming lessons. Seanna is really enjoying her time in the pool. Her teacher tells me each night how enthusiastic she is about learning. Cassidy is liking getting to be involved in her own class. She is in the pre-school class where they just basically get used to being in the water & getting their faces wet, blowing bubbles.

So, needless to say, June has went pretty fast for us. We are not sure what July holds for us--hopefully a little R& R.

Exciting to start the summer....

WITHOUT a cast!!! Today is the day that Cassidy got her cast off. She was a real champ and very brave to face that cast saw for a 2nd time. The only rule for the next week or 2 is to keep her from hurting it again since it still has a little healing left. We can do that~

And we now have officially found a school for Seanna to attend in the fall. She will be attending Pershing, which is actually about a block and a half from her previous daycare. Fortunately we don't have to change daycare either since the director of their current one offered to drive Seanna to this school. The means the Cassidy will also be able to start preschool in the fall. It all has worked out after several months of stressing, wondering and praying. The Lord had a plan, we just had to wait to see just what that plan was. Patience is a virtue!!

We still haven't had a chance to use the new camper...but that will change after the girls finish their dance lessons. We have their receital in just under 2 weeks. Their costumes are so cute!!! I can't wait to see how well it goes when the day comes for them to be in front of a crowd. Seanna is an attention-ham, but Cassidy would rather everyone not notice her. I guess it is a good thing that she is doing her dance with Jared.
